The ASICS GEL-1090v2 Has Been Dressed in Grey
have been bringing back some of their best runners from the early-2000s thanks to Y2K-inspired trends that have been circling the internet. Back in 2019, the brand resurrected the , a runner from 2004 that is a product of its time, doused in metallic panels on white mesh bases and simple coloured pops. Recently, the 1090 has been regularly engaging in a swathe of collaborations with the likes of BAPE and Above the Clouds. Now, the sneakersphere has been blessed with the second generation of the shoe, dubbed the 1090v2 and a grey-on-grey iteration is available to cop right now.
The difference between the first and second versions is mainly the materials, with the latest using luxe suede instead of the usual leather. The other changes are the middle lace loops which no longer intersect with the ASICS branding and the heel loop on the rear. This colourway comes correct in a light grey base and overlays with darker branding and accents.
