The XT-Whisper Continues its Rise in Aries' Latest Salomon Colab

has been playing the long game. First released in 2000 as the women’s version of the XT-Hawk, the silhouette blends the French label’s trail heritage with a more sculpted, refined shape. Quietly revived over the past few years, the XT-Whisper has been steadily gaining ground – reimagined by , , and edging closer to the front of Salomon’s lifestyle lineup, all leading to its boldest remix yet: a new collaboration with .

Marking the London-based imprint’s second project with Salomon, this iteration of the XT-Whisper elevates the original design in both depth and texture. Crucially, each model in the two-part colab features co-branded rubber detailing, with logos placed on the suede panels and tongue labels.

The first colourway has been revealed by @attiresaint, and features a bold red and hot pink mix, accented by a gradient mesh underlay and black details. The other takes a more understated approach with an all-black base and subtle, chocolate brown panels around the collar and tongue. Both versions also replace the model’s typical laces with a thicker set, for a streetwear-inspired look.

Word is the Aries x Salomon XT-Whisper is set to drop via both brands’ webstores and brick-and-mortar outposts. Stay tuned for the official look and release date.
