recently overhauled the and , modernising the former silhouettes with the endorsement of . We've only seen a handful of releases of the new Crazy ADV models thus far, but adidas have already reworked the duo. Once again, there might be yet another sly jab at the former Three Stripes athlete.

Produced as part of adidas' rapidly expanding 'Parallel Dimension' series, the Crazy 1 ADV A//D and Crazy 8 ADV A//D are wildly different to their recently released counterparts. The Crazy 8 ADV A//D switches up the lacing system with long exposed tubular lace loops running down the upper. It also subs out the traditional tongue of the ADV for a extended one-piece ankle bootie.

The Crazy 1 ADV A//D goes one step further. Aside from the sole unit, the upper is almost entirely different from the Crazy 1 ADV that is currently on shelves, looking like an entirely new shoe. Like on the 8, an elasticised bootie system replaces the conventional tongue on this new Crazy 1.

So why the possible jab at Kobe? Fans of the Lakers legend may notice that the 'A//D' addition to the model's name bears more than a passing similarity to the Mamba's current Swoosh silhouette, the The Three Stripes have been releasing a number of silhouettes in their 'Parallel Dimension' series the past few months with the 'A//D' moniker, but it's a similarity that seems a little too close to be mere coincidence.

The adidas Crazy 1 ADV and Crazy 8 ADV 'A//D' will release on December 7 through select stockists.
