Back in 1966, the released Style #44, unknowingly creating one of the greatest skate shoes of all time. Five decades on, Style #44 – now known as the Authentic – remains a staple sight in skateparks across the globe. Not ones to rest on their laurels, the Vans team continues to experiment and innovate.
The brand's latest creation, the Old Skool Sport Pro, invited Alltimers to put their unique spin on the design. For its debut, two new make-ups draw inspiration from a War of the Worlds-like vision of aliens running amok on earth. The shoe is major evolution of the classic suede and canvas ; the low-cut silhouette has been heavily tweaked for modern tastes, with an all-mesh upper reinforced with cotton webbing and reflective binding.
