The Air Jordan Mule Brings Hardwood Swag to the Boardroom

are launching into uncharted territory – and away from laces – with the all-new Air Jordan Mule. This backless loafer blends luxury with hardwood heritage, reimagining classic Jumpman DNA through a high-fashion lens. Set to release in late 2025, the sleek silhouette arrives first in women’s sizing, featuring a luxe ‘Black/Metallic Silver’ colourway that’s equal parts courtside and cocktail.
Gone are the high-top panels and stitched overlays, replaced with a single-piece leather upper that drapes like a slip-on glove. Metallic silver Swooshes slash across the sides for a hit of contrast, while an embroidered Wings logo on the heel adds a subtle nod to the brand’s roots. Underfoot, the tooling remains unmistakably with a rubber cupsole and classic pivot-circle tread that harken back to fledgling days.
Of course, with sneaker and mule hybrids dominating the footwear market in recent years, it was only a matter of time before these two forces fused. The humble loafer has gone from dusty dad staple to front-row flex in just a few seasons. Spurred on by the return of Y2K silhouettes and a growing appetite for easy, elevated footwear, loafers have been reimagined by luxury houses and street labels alike. Consider this your cue to dress up without giving up your Jordan loyalty.
Expect the women’s Air Jordan Mule to drop later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. No official release date has yet been confirmed.
