Some sneakerheads just want to wear Jordans all year round. That’s not necessarily feasible in all parts of the world, especially when it gets cold. At least, that was the case until the Boot came into existence. This bolstered take on basketball shoes made for winter is realised through its extensive set of features that laugh in the face of snow, sleet and generally bad weather.
The AJ9 Boot’s hardware is hardcore, featuring big rubber cleated tread designed for slippery surfaces instead of the polished hardwood preferred by the usual sole. Its upper is similarly durable, using metal D-ring lace loops in place of speed hooks. Beyond that, the major trump card is beneath the surface with a water-resistant coating that helps bead off any liquid.
This particular colourway is modelled after the classic brown and green combo used on a famous hiking boot. While it previously featured on the AJ9 Boot a few years ago, this 2022 re-up is a good chance for newcomers to get acquainted. They’ll be available from SNKRS on October 20.
