Get excited Air Jordan aficionados, because one of the coolest, most classic Air Jordans of the 90s is set to return next year: the ‘Aqua’. Reports have confirmed that the quintessential 90s icon will be back in mid-2025. Despite the fact that the Jordan 8 ‘Aqua’ was only worn by Michael Jordan once on court – for the 1993 NBA all-star game – the colourway is regarded by many Air Jordan fans as the best of the original three Jordan 8s.

The 2025 comeback will mark only the third retro or the Air Jordan 8 ‘Aqua’ following its 2007 and 2015 releases. The colourway is expected to return in the OG form you know and love with no notable modifications to the materials or colour palette. You can expect the 2025 pairs to feature the ‘Aqua’ Jordan 8’s black synthetic nubuck upper with lightly contrasting grey felt material wrapping the heel and lace eyelet panels, along with the distinct aqua blue and purple accents and chenille Jumpman logo patch on the tongue.

It appears that 2025 will be a busy year for Jordan collectors, as we’ve already got confirmation of a number of massive retro drops including the , , and even the almost mythic . Start saving now!

There’s no official release date or sneak peak photos for the 2025 Jordan 8 ‘Aqua’ yet (the 2015 release is pictured here), but you can expect them sometime in the first half of 2025. 'Aqua' fiends can keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for further release updates for these beloved Jordan 8s.
