The Air Jordan 6 Gets a 'Georgetown' Colour Scheme
Pre-Jordan Brand contract, the Georgetown Hoyas' only real association with Michael Jordan was getting defeated by his game-winning jumper in the 1982 NCAA Championship game. Since then though, the Jumpman and the Hoyas have had a long and fruitful relationship. After taking the production of Georgetown athletic attire over from Nike in the mid-2010s, Jordan Brand have created dozens of PEs for the Hoyas' basketball teams, and also used their signature blend of grey and navy for retail iterations of the Air Jordan 11 Low, Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 and many much more.
Now, the latest Air Jordan to get the Hoyas treatment is the Air Jordan 6 'Georgetown,' a general release that's just a logo or two away from being a PE! Its upper is made entirely of supple grey suede, with dashes of navy blue providing contrast on the branded hits, lace toggle and heel tab. More hits of navy blue appear on the midsole, and icy blue translucent outsoles round off the look.
If you're hoping to get some Hoya heat in your sneaker collection, you can expect the Air Jordan 6 'Georgetown' to release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers on September 3. It'll be priced at $200.
