Even Jordan Brand's mighty Air Jordan line isn't immune to the supply chain issues that have been roiling the world of sneakers since 2020 – multiple drops have been delayed for months, one of which is the Air Jordan 5 'Jade Horizon', originally slated to release in December 2021. There's now some light at the end of the tunnel for the 'Jade Horizon' though: it's been scheduled for a March drop!
Part of Jordan Brand's , the 'Jade Horizon' goes to great lengths to present an aged aesthetic even though it's a brand-new sneaker. Its leather upper is coated in the flat green tone that provides the 'Jade Horizon' moniker, a material that's supposed to develop a unique patina over time. Almost every single translucent detail, from the midsole to the eyestays and the lace toggle is intentionally yellowed – except for the midfoot's mesh netting, which is left unaltered – with the silver tongues and black/silver midsoles rounding off the look.
