Still one of the most coveted silhouettes in the vast Jumpman hangar, the Air Jordan 5 continues to soar across the sneaker skies in 2022. Famously modelled on the World War II era fighter planes (specifically the P-51 fighter jets), the Air Jordan 5 is now being refuelled with a classic ‘Dark Concord’ colourway, a composition originally seen on the Air Jordan 11 of 1996.

Recalling the indelible blocking of the fan-favourite ‘Fire Red’ colourway, the Air Jordan 5 ‘Dark Concord’ is composed of crispy white leather uppers, while signature translucent, icy outsoles still score buckets all these years later. OG side vents, 3M reflective tongues and shark-tooth midsoles extend the heritage DNA of the Air Jordan 5, a notion again extended to the classic clear lace locks. Accents of eye-catching purple bring aesthetic depth to the colourway, while the classic Jumpman logos are this time stitched into the tongues and heels.

Ready to take flight? The Air Jordan 5 ‘Dark Concord’ is set to launch at JD Sports in a full-size run on September 28.

An on-court killer, the Air Jordan 5 also became a pop culture phenomenon thanks to characters like Mars Blackmon and The Fresh Prince. Feeling a little rusty on your Air Jordan 5 history? Check out why the Air Jordan 5 is still a bad, bad boy.
