JD Sports Summon the Air Jordan 4 ‘Red Thunder’

Sneakerheads have been feeling the four-ce from Jordan Brand’s continued push of the revered Air Jordan 4, and up next is the anticipated ‘Red Thunder' that's making a loud entrance at JD Sports Australia this week.

Not only is this latest makeup a red remix to the ‘Thunder’ edition – the complement to the 'Lightning' that returned to JD Sports late last year – it also loosely references the classic ‘Bred’ style as seen in the brushed synthetic upper.

Instead of yellow lighting up this colourway, rich red is pumped into the distinct rubberised mesh instep and mid panels. The contrasting colour is also found on the plastic lace hardware and entirety of the foam midsole. This certainly isn’t just JB picking a colour at random: red has always been an integral part of the signature Air Jordan series, especially the earliest models.

Raffle entries for the Air Jordan 4 ‘Red Thunder’ are open now via the JD App, ahead of the January 15 release date. For those preferring to try their luck IRL, the below JD Sports Australia locations will be carrying a limited run the following week on January 21.
