There are few sneakers that can conjure nostalgia for veteran sneakerheads while also managing to excite the new-gen of footwear enthusiasts. One of those models is the formidable which has experienced a gargantuan resurgence thanks to expertly crafted retros and fresh new takes on the 35-year-old basketball silhouette. And, the latest iteration to touch down at is arguably the greatest colourway fourth signature has ever donned – ‘Military Blue’. While they’ve officially dubbed it ‘Industrial Blue’ over in , the latest and greatest rocks all the specs required to be blessed with the ‘Military Blue’ OG moniker.

There are many reasons why sneakerheads have been keen as a bean to secure the 2024 ‘Military Blue’, but the main is the sought-after ‘Nike Air’ heel branding. It’s been well documented that this blue AJ4 was the final remaining OG colourway yet to receive a retro with the period-correct heel branding. And, ever since the last Jumpman-labelled retro in 2012, rumours have been swirling of a remake. However, every piece of leaked word of a return has left sneakerhead’s hearts broken – until now.

While the ‘Nike Air’ branding was a major highlight of the 2024 ‘Military Blue’, that’s not all that Jordan fiends are excited about! The shape of the shoe has been altered slightly to better reflect the OG 1989 pair, taking select details from the ultra hype and adding them to the mainline pair. Other than these epic additions, this year’s ‘Military Blue’ is exactly like its predecessors. The upper has been crafted using all-white leather, with a grey-toned suede toebox, crisp blue accents and Jumpman tongue branding.

If you’re located Down Under, there’s still another chance to cop your pair of the Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Blue’.
