Michael Jordan is most commonly known for his legendary Chicago Bulls stint, solidifying one of the most storied colourways in sneaker history. But as many know, there’s more to his legacy than just red, white and black. In 2001, Jordan would jump ship to join the Washington Wizards, where he’d stay until 2003. A new team required new kicks, and in his opening year with the Wizards, Jordan would don an Air Jordan 3 in the team’s titular blue hue. For two decades, fans have been patiently waiting for the day that the pair would become available at retail. Now that time has finally arrived.
The Air Jordan 3 ‘Wizards’ is an ultra crisp rendition, which was originally a remix of the AJ3 ‘True Blue’ from 1988 – specifically created for MJ. Constructed with a white base, the ‘Wizards’ is brought to life with hits of ‘True Blue’ above the midsoles, lining and Jumpman heel branding. ‘Cement Grey’ strikes the toebox, heels and eyestays. Subtle hits of ‘Metallic Copper’ find home on the eyelets and tongue logo.
