The upper is pure spectacle: jagged leather overlays and snakeskin textures straight out of a masked warrior’s wardrobe, red toe and heel guards like a champion’s cape, green ankle collars waving the flag, and metallic gold hits on the Jumpman and tongue gleaming like a title belt. You can almost hear the crowd chanting.

Even the packaging comes with a storyline – the box borrows from the bold, chaotic fight posters plastered across Mexico City, while ‘Más vale maña que fuerza’ (‘brains over brawn’) is stitched behind the tongue for a sneaky wink at the sport’s craftiness.
