Jordan Brand has been putting an emphasis on the Air Jordan 2 for the past few years and looks like it has no signs of slowing down.

When the Air Jordan 2 was released back in 1986, Nike went the luxe route and bumped up the price point to $100 USD, 35 dollars more than the Air Jordan 1. The original release of the Air Jordan 2 was made in Italy and constructed with premium Italian leather which made the sneaker more premium and exclusive as it was only limited to select cities the first few months of the release.

This Air Jordan 2 colourway looks to tie in the Italian roots of the sneaker, using a white leather build with red and green accenting, similar to the Italian flag. Red hits are found on the Wings logo and liner with green seen on the heel overlay and lower half of the sneaker’s piping. Sail is seen on the heel counter as well as on the midsole, giving it a pre-aged look.

The Air Jordan 2 ‘Italy’ is expected to drop later this year via Nike’s channels and at select retailers. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
