The Air Jordan 12 'Red Taxi' Is Driving into 2024

The Air Jordan 12 represents a pivotal time in Michael Jordan’s career, as he wore them during the 1996–97 NBA season en route to his fifth championship with the Chicago Bulls. The AJ12 was also the first in the Jordan line to use Zoom Air, and it was dressed in several memorable colourways – including the ‘Taxi’. Originally crafted with crisp white and black tumbled leather and hits of red and gold accents, the ‘Taxi’ is a crowd pleaser that has since been reimagined in a variety of iterations, including the ‘Reverse Taxi’ and ‘Royalty’. The Swoosh have now zoomed in on the ‘University Red’ accents for a new colourway called ‘Red Taxi’.

The ‘Red Taxi’ stays true to the OG with black and white leather taking up the upper, midsoles, outsole and heel tab. Where it deviates is with a red tab stitched onto the lateral side with a debossed ‘Jumpman’, along with other red hits featuring on the tongue details and silver metallic eyelets instead of gold.

There’s no official confirmation of the Air Jordan 12 ‘Red Taxi’ yet, but it’s rumoured to land on May 18, 2024. Stay locked to SF for updates.
