Upcoming in 2024 is the legendary , which has been altered slightly to exude a faux-vintage vibe with ‘Air Jordan’ scripted lateral branding instead of the usual Wings logo. When Jordan Brand Reimagine one of their icons, it can mean anything from crafting fake aging to completely changing the materials. The latest to get a retro rework is the iconic , which hasn’t been seen since 2015.

The Air Jordan 1 ‘UNC’ is one of the OG colourways of signature line; however, it was originally dubbed ‘Dark Powder Blue’ and it eventually got its name because of the colour association with the GOAT’s time at the University of North Carolina. Since releasing in 1985, the ‘UNC’ has only been seen a handful of times, touching down in 2003 and later in 2015. Virgil Abloh also dropped a variation of the ‘UNC’ for his long-running collaboration with Nike.

So far, the Air Jordan 1 ‘UNC Reimagined’ is slated for mid-2025, but Jordan Brand are yet to official confirm any info surrounding this return and there's no word on what the upcoming ‘UNC Reimagined’ could look like as of yet.
