The Air Jordan 1 ‘Reverse Shadow’ Could See a Global Release

This year has witnessed an array of elusive drops, which have all floated around in the ether for months before landing as exclusives in certain regions. One of those is the anticipated ‘Reverse Shadow’, which originally emerged in June last year on the feet of , before landing in Japan in limited numbers. But official imagery is now loaded, and an EU retailer has the shoe listed – all but confirming a global drop.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘Shadow’ is one of the original colourways of first signature that released way back in 1985, and the ‘Reverse Shadow’ was a sample pair that emerged around the same time but never released. In 2021, Jordan Brand revisited the ‘Reverse Shadow’ look, dropping a suede-adorned ‘Shadow 2.0’ which had Jumpman fans in a frenzy. By contrast, this year’s version is leaps better, having been crafted with the OG Air Jordan 1 ’85 cut.
For the 2025 ‘Reverse Shadow’, the entire upper is kitted out in full leather, with additional nylon tongue and the usual rubberised sole unit. Black makes up the base layer, while grey hits the overlays, Swoosh and outsole. The midsole presents the model's the most contentious point; it's been yellowed, to give off a faux-vintage vibe.
Retailer Foot District have loaded the Air Jordan 1 ‘Reverse Shadow’ on their site with a release date of August 27. Currently, Jordan Brand haven’t announced anything as of yet – but keep it locked for more details.
