Michael Jordan played three historic seasons at the University of North Carolina before making his way to the NBA. Playing for the Tar Heels from 1981-1984, the UNC colourway has since made its way to some of the Jumpman’s most prestigious models, the ‘White’, ‘Dark Powder Blue’ and ‘Black’ colour palette now synonymous with MJ’s long-running signature catalogue (the Air Jordan line debuted its 37th model last week).

The Air Jordan 1 Low will always be a core requirement for any self-respecting Jordan-heads, the low-top model continuing to be favoured for its lifestyle-oriented aesthetic.

The latest to arrive dons the familiar ‘UNC’ composition, the Air Jordan 1 Low again paying homage to Michael Jordan’s beloved alma mater. Manufactured in a familiar white leather base, the AJ1 utilises ‘Powder Blue’ accents on the tongue branding, heels and rubber outsoles. Black overlays provide further definition, while clean white midsoles contrast with ‘Power Blue’ outsoles.

Look for the Air Jordan 1 Low to land on September 28.
