First Look: Air Jordan 1 Low KO ‘Bred’
Release: 1 July 2023

Style Code: DX4981-006

Colourway: Bred

Debuting alongside the Air Jordan 1 in the mid-80s, the Air Jordan 1 KO was originally positioned as a cheaper version of its high-profile sibling. Reportedly short for ‘knockoff’, the sneaker traditionally features canvas uppers and outsoles swiped from the Nike Vandal.

First retroed in 2010, the KO was reintroduced to the zeitgeist this year with Union’s hyped two-piece collaboration, with the Jordan Brand now looking to build on the momentum via in-house colourways.

The indelible ‘Bred’ rendition is the first cab off the rank, the low-top colourway rendered in full black and red canvas base with red leather Swooshes and heels. In terms of branding, red Nike logos hit the tongue tags and insoles, while classic black wings embroidery strikes the heels.

Sizing details are stamped on the inner lining, while white midsoles and red rubber outsoles complete the design.

Look for the Air Jordan 1 KO Low ‘Bred’ to arrive on July 1 at Nike and select retailers.
