Next year will mark the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, and early rumours are already circling about how Jordan Brand are intending to celebrate the momentous occasion. @zsneakerheadz and @sneakerfiles have let slip that 2025 will see the return of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’, and this time the construction is set to be the closest to the 1985 original.

The early leaked word states that the iconic black and red tones will grace the 85 OG silhouette, which is taller than the Retro High variation and boasts a larger Swoosh and improved toebox. Unlike recent iterations such as last year’s ‘Satin Bred’, the 2025 version is allegedly constructed in a full-leather build. Every pair will also arrive with an additional hangtag and OG-inspired packaging.

The ‘Bred’ colourway is one of the OGs of the AJ1 model, which originally launched in 1985. Jordan Brand have resurrected the iconic tones with retros throughout the years, with various levels of popularity, and they have also added the colourway to a plethora of other variations, such as the ‘Patent Bred’, ‘Satin Bred’, AJ1 Lows and Mids. The last time the classic Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ hit the market in classic form was in 2016.

There’s been no word from Jordan Brand on whether the Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ will return in 2025, but with the 40th anniversary celebrations kicking off, we wouldn’t be surprised!
