The Samba Millennium is Safe in the Hands of Adsum
As 2023 comes to a close, it’s hard not to think about the impact the (and its ) has had on the zeitgeist. The trending silhouette has dominated the inter-web, going from a reliable beater to the must-have sneaker for literally anyone and everyone. It also seems Team Trefoil aren’t done with the Samba yet, because the model has continued to head-up weekly release calendars, including this week, as prepare to debut their latest collaboration using the Samba Millennium.
This particular version of the Samba was originally released in 2009 and boasted then-modernised details for indoor football – fans will be excited that this pair is making a return! Adsum, the Brooklyn-based menswear gods, who’re known for their tasteful sneaker collaborations, have been employed to work their magic on the performance-geared Samba retro. The base layer of the upper has been kitted in a creamy toned leather with additional grey suede panels and black Three Stripe branding. Subtle Adsum logos have been placed along the lateral and insole, while the two-tone tongue branding exudes a Y2K feel.
Adsum will be dropping their adidas Samba Millennium on November 16 exclusively on their site. A wider release is unknown at this point, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more details.
