Selling Fast! A Quartet of adilette Slides Launch Online

adi’s new models never strayed too far from the headlines in 2022. The adilette Slide garnered plenty of controversy when it was first shared in June, with former adidas collaborator Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) taking aim at the silhouette over its likeness to Yeezy models.

Calling out adidas CEO Kasper Rørsted specifically, West said, ‘I’m not standing for this blatant copying no more,’ eventually going on to claim that the Adilette 22 is a ripoff of a Yeezy slide. ‘This shoe is a fake Yeezy made by adidas themselves.’

Of course, this apoplectic reaction extended to other models like the adiFOM Q, eventually resulting in adidas terminating their contract (although there were many other factors, including Ye’s anti-semitic diatribes).

Regardless of the furore surrounding adi’s 2022 models, more releases continue to load our calendars as we head into the new year. Today, four new adilette colourways appeared on Team Trefoil’s website, with the sizes already being swallowed up by fans.

Coming in ‘Desert Sand’, ‘Magic Lime’, ‘Carbon’ and ‘Aluminium’, the four colourways are priced at $55.
