A high-end hoops-inspired sneaker, the Yeezy BSKTBL Knit stands alone in Kanye West and adidas' long-running Yeezy line. It's a hodgepodge of familiar parts – the knit patterns from the Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT and the midsole and heel clip from the Yeezy Quantum – made into an entirely new silhouette, and now it's set to release in a 'Slate Azure' colourway.

First teased back in February, the 'Slate Azure' gets its name from the mixture of slate grey and azure, a rich blue shade, on its upper. This upper provides a lion's share of the details on the 'Slate Azure,' thanks to both its mixture of colours and its thickly-knit patterns. More azure is used on the herringbone-patterned outsole, while shades of grey and cream appear on both the BOOST-filled midsole and the elevated heel clip. Rounding off the look is an ultra-high cut knit collar that's done up in black, black laces and a black throat. If you want to ball in these, you certainly can (they've actually received decent performance feedback) but they're more geared towards casual wear – so think twice before making them a go-to hoop sneaker!

Expect the adidas Yeezy BSKTBL Knit 'Slate Azure' to release via Yeezy Supply, the adidas Yeezy webstore and select retailers globally on June 10. It's priced at $300.

The Yeezy BSKTBL Knit has yet to touch down on an NBA court, but a handful of West's other designs have – and they're not shoes that you'd normally think of hooping in! Check out the 10 weirdest non-basketball shoes worn on NBA courts by clicking right here.
