adidas Unveil the All-New UltraBOOST 19 'Laser Red'
Entirely reimagined and redesigned, the adidas 19 is a completely fresh take on a modern classic. Ushering in the most significant changes to ever seen, the all-new performance runner is a collaborative design developed with feedback from thousands of runners worldwide.
With the emergence of city running clubs and fun runs, it was clear that the running fraternity wanted a simpler product with fewer pieces but equally high performance. Answering the call, Team Trefoil’s designers reconstructed the UB from 17 pieces to focus on four key technologies — Optimized BOOST, Torsion Spring, Primeknit 360 and 3D Heel Frame.

Optimized BOOST packs 20 per cent more BOOST into the midsole, resulting in , while the Torsion Spring construction adds enhanced support and forward propulsion. The familiar Primeknit upper now gets a ‘360’ upgrade, improving the sock-like feel. Finally, the familiar heel cage has been levelled-up to a new 3D Heel Frame: a stripped-back design, which cradles the heel for even more stability.
‘In creating the adidas UltraBOOST 19, we tore up the rule book. We challenged the status quo of what a running shoe should be and how it should be created,’ explains Sam Handy, Vice President Design, adidas Running. ‘We enlisted runners from all over our network to be a part of this process, with one goal in mind — to create the most responsive, performance-driven version of the adidas UltraBOOST possible.’

The adidas UltraBOOST 19 launches in a debut ‘Laser Red’ colourway on December, with further limited-edition drops to follow in the lead-up to the global launch on February 21, 2019. Stay glued to Sneaker Freaker for updates, BOOSTheads.
