adidas Release the T-Mac 2 Restomod ‘Black Patent’
One of Tracy McGrady’s most popular shoes, the originally debuted on the hardwood in the early 2000s. Paying homage to the Hall of Famer, Team Trefoil have thankfully exhumed the T-Mac 2 in recent years, the T-Mac 2 Restomod providing a technical overhaul whilst retaining all the vintage characteristics of the beloved model.
Stepping into the weeds, the T-Mac 2 Restomod utilises a Bounce midsole for responsive cushioning, while Supergrip rubber outsoles provide plenty of durability for the hardwood or the streets. A modernised upper pattern has also been installed.
The latest colourway of T-Mac’s model to arrive is a ‘Black Patent’ design extending the aesthetic vocabulary of basketball sneakers of late, the shoe joining recent Jordan Brand remixes. Hitting retailers in March, the all-black patent leather colourway features mesh tongues, graphic insoles and tonal branding. Down below, black camo provides some visual contrast.
The adidas T-Mac 2 Restomod ‘Black Patent’ hit storefronts on March 19. The retail price is $130.
