The adidas Superstar ‘Ravi’ Honours Dubai’s Favourite Pakistani Restaurant
Ravi restaurant in Dubai has been immortalised in sneaker form via the ‘Ravi’, which forms part of a wider collection of Three Stripes shoes honouring culinary hotspots from around the world.
These Shelltoes’ clean white uppers take on vibrant green shades inspired by Ravi’s backdrop and country of origin of Pakistan. Bespoke details are garnished generously throughout the shoes, such as the ‘1978’ callout on the heels in reference to Ravi’s founding, plus Arabic text and graphics nodding back to Dubai. The insoles are also printed with map graphics explaining the meaning of ‘Navi’, which means ‘river’ in Pakistani.
‘My family has worked so hard to bring Ravi to where it is now, it has become more than just a restaurant with staff and customers, it has become a home that many grew up with. To say that Ravi had a humble beginning and is now representing Dubai as a key city with adidas is a milestone to celebrate,' said Ravi founder Chaudary Abdul Hameed.
The adidas Superstar ‘Ravi’ is available now online exclusively to residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Lebanon from thegoodlife. Included with the colab is a special co-branded tiffin container and takeaway box packaging.
