adidas Step Into the Future with the UltraBOOST 21
Going on six years since its debut, the continues to cement its illustrious legacy, this time welcoming arguably its most significant evolution to date. Aptly dubbed the UltraBOOST 21, the latest rendition of the stylish performance runner arrives with a bold new look, updated materials, and more BOOST than ever before.
Famous for transcending its running roots to become a legend of the street, the UltraBOOST line goes back to its core with a performance-geared turn in 2021, all the while retaining the adaptable aesthetic that's made it one of most popular sneakers of all time.
The sock-like, breathable feel of the upper is upgraded thanks to an PRIMEKNIT+ construction, which is knitted with PRIMEBLUE, a highly-durable yarn containing at least 50 per cent recycled Parley Ocean Plastic. Meanwhile, the traditional Torsion bar has been replaced with adidas’ new Linear Energy Push (LEP) technology. Reminiscent of a wishbone, LEP promises 15 per cent more forefoot-bending stiffness compared to the UB 20, which means even more propulsion.
Underfoot, the famed BOOST midsole has been beefed up, with six per cent more foam. That’s some serious bounce! Additionally, the traditional Continental rubber outsole hits on the bottom, coming through with a new design that promises even more traction.
