adidas Rollout Super-Limtited SPZL Roelee

Earlier this year, unveiled the Roelee , a hybrid that quite literally splices terrace lineage – lifting the foxing from the and marrying it to the Whalley’s upper. It was a mashup that underlined Spezial’s knack for excavating and recontextualising thearchive, celebrating half-forgotten silhouettes by weaving them into new narratives. Following on from the inaugural 'Pine Green' release, the sub-label has now unveiled a fresh iteration, limited to just 1,888 pairs.

The build goes big on the material front: a pale grey suede base overlaid with darker hits on the eyestay and T-toe, offset by powder-blue leather tongue, back tab and stripes. Underfoot sits the Gazelle-derived sole unit in a translucent light gum – an archival callback smuggled into a modern hybrid.

Noted by Gary Aspden over on Instagram, this shade of grey was intentional – a blank canvas for fans of any club. Its roots trace to the adidas Madeira, brought into the Spezial fold with branded touches and a gold 'SPZL F.C.' heel stamp.
