sneakers have reached nearly every corner of the Earth, so it makes sense that they’re now looking to the skies.

Their new endeavour sees them join with the International Space Station (ISS) to test product in space. They already sent soccer balls to the ISS earlier in 2019, and they’ll be following with BOOST technology in 2020. As CNN reports, James Carnes, adidas’ vice president of global strategy, notes that this testing will manifest itself in technology and process innovations for how [adidas] makes sneakers’.

Suitably, adidas are marking the partnership with a quartet of UltraBOOST 2020s. Grey, orange, black and blue colourways have surfaced, three with spacey blue BOOST soles. A release date isn’t yet known, but you can expect more intel to pop up in the new year.
