is closing out his x partnership on a high note with the Basketball II.5 ‘Cloud White’, marking the final chapter before the end of the current agreement post-Holiday 2025.

This iteration borrows the familiar silhouette of the Basketball II but reimagines it with a fresh twist: a semi-transparent shroud that envelops the upper and is secured by a full-length zipper. The result is a modern, technical aesthetic that diverges from the muted, suede-driven designs the collaboration has favoured so far.

Prominent Athletics branding takes centre stage here – an ‘A’ logo is stamped on the heel, and bold ‘ATHLETICS’ text appears beneath the opaque white rubber outsole, reinforcing the lineage and identity of the line.

Since their launch in late 2023, Fear of God Athletics have carved out their own lane between performance basketball and luxury minimalism. The debut I Basketball set the tone with a sculptural midsole and slip-on futurism, while the II Basketball refined the formula into something sleeker and more wearable.

On the organisational side, Fear of God Athletics also expanded into team partnerships. They field an outfitted in custom uniforms and performance shoes, and partnered with NCAA programs like Indiana, Miami, and Kansas, supplying exclusive player kits and matching II Basketball editions slated to debut during rivalry games.

The retail price for the II.5 is set at $200, and while a firm release date hasn’t been revealed yet, the sneaker is slated to launch in 2025 through adidas.com and Fear of God’s channels.
