The Next Above the Clouds x ASICS GT-2160 Is Almost Here

Above The Clouds have revealed three colourways of their next ASICS colab, once again hitting the GT-2160. The duo have worked together before, with their previous three projects including the GEL-1090, SKYCOURT, and their first GT-2160. ASICS’ GT-2160 has been one of the brand’s major silhouette launches of 2023, and the Above the Clouds 'Shamrock Green' combined traditional and contemporary elements to create a sleek design. The next three colourways build on this style, with brown, silver and black iterations.

The models boast a similar build to the styles launched in October, only equipped with a softer colour scheme, opting for black/silver, white/silver, and brown/silver/white hues. Each shoe is constructed with a mesh collar and heel, offset against a semi-transparent TPE toebox and midsole. The silver and brown iterations also feature the metallic accents often associated with the rise of the Y2K-aesthetic.

This is the very first look, so there’s no release date or other information yet available. But the caption declares we’ll be seeing this hitting stores in 2024. If we’re to use the previous release as a benchmark, the retail price can expect to be set around the $150 mark. That’s all we know for now, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more updates.
