Above The Clouds and ASICS Unveil an Aussie-Inspired SKYCOURT Colab
Following on from the success of their collaboration on the , boutique rekindles their high-altitude alliance with , working together to finesse this luxurious take on the SKYCOURT. Their second project together, the build makes use of premium materials on the low-cut silhouette from the Japanese imprint’s contemporary lifestyle lineup.
Borrowing elements from the GEL-ALTITUDE volleyball shoe from 1990s, the SKYCOURT is blessed with a classic court aesthetic with modern tooling, dressed with minimal branding for a seriously clean look all round. Coming through with an Aussie-inspired twist, the Above The Clouds crew have gone for a vintage, squash-inspired remake, subtly applying a patriotic colour palette of birch, sage and yellow to the upper. Constructed with the soft tumbled leather, suede, exposed foam, and mesh detailing, this collaboration is a ‘fair dinkum’ winner.
The Above The Clouds x ASICS SKYCOURT collaboration launches exclusively via Above The Clouds on Saturday May 8, with a wider global drop at select retailers like END., Kith Tokyo, LUISAVIAROMA, and Footpatrol on May 15.
