Abloh Celebrates Kipchoge's Berlin Win
campaign has defined running shoe innovation this year, with the dominating the marathon circuit. Nike-sponsored runner Eluid Kipchoge has been slaying the competition recently but it was at Sunday's Berlin Marathon that he really showed why he's arguably the greatest marathon runner of this generation. Despite insane humidity and rain, Kipchoge finished a mere 35 seconds short of the world record with an incredibly quick time of 2:03:32.
To celebrate the victory, Virgil Abloh pulled a pair of x Nike Zoom Flys from his stash to customise and gift to Kip. The sneaker is a pared-down version of what Kipchoge runs in, and the ideal kick to kick back in on rest-day jaunts.
