A New Design Has Escaped From the adidas Stronghold
The crew at are calling this new design the Arkyn, which to our ears sounds suspiciously similar to the Gotham City loony bin, Arkham. Perhaps the similarity is amplified by the fact that the new design really does look like a malevolent mutant sneaker – the kind of thing that’s just busted out of the asylum to take revenge on the masked vigilante. Of course, we don’t mean to condemn the villain straight off the bat, isn’t there always a desire to see the bad guy win?
The sock-like sneaker has a bizarre lacing system that stretches all the way down to the midsole, swooping over the top of obscured Three Stripe branding. Underfoot is the obligatory chunk of , spliced with a little something else at the heel for added balance.
