Wale Was the Right Person to Debut the Nike Foamposite 'DMV'

While bigger cities like New York and get all the shine when it comes to sneakers, a five-hour drive down I-95 to the D.C. area is a big reason why a lot of sneakers we see today are as popular as they are. From to , the DMV area were putting them on before a lot of us did and the same goes for the and . are giving them their dues by rightfully dropping a Foamposite One colourway for the Mid-Atlantic area, and they're coming later this year.

Using Washington D.C.’s cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin as inspiration, a pearly pink 'Posite upper is used, and a black nubuck eyelet overlay and black mesh tongue finish off the rest of the upper. Pink accenting is found throughout, notably on Swooshes and Penny logos, and ‘DMV’ is printed on the Foamposite One’s heel pulltab. Cherry blossoms are stamped on the sneaker’s insole as a milky translucent outsole finishes off the sneaker.

The Nike Foamposite One ‘DMV’ is expected to drop later this year, retailing for $240. Expect the sneaker to drop on SNKRS and at select retailers, most likely hitting local DMV retailers. Check out the photos above and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
