Kasina and Kim Jung Gi Show Off Their Stripes on the adidas Campus 80s

South Korean retailer are continuing to make waves abroad, with a triple-threat colab between Kasina, , and the late artist Kim Jung Gi set to drop later this week.
Known for his large, detailed pieces and ability to draw from his photographic memory without references, Kim worked in a variety of industries, from comics to music and even government. Unfortunately, Kim passed away in October 2022 from a sudden heart attack at the age of 47.
Using the as the canvas, a yellow nubuck base forms the upper, with white leather used on the tongue and heeltab. The Three Stripes appear in black, with Kim’s illustrations of a tiger and a girl pulling a tiger’s tail featured on both the lateral and medial sides. The adidas Trefoil is sketched on the left heel with a sketch of Kasina’s logo on the right. The tiger theme continues in the co-branded insole as well as on the special edition box. Lastly, a cream midsole and herringbone-patterned outsole finish off the sneaker.
