2021 Debut: The Nike Fontanka Edge
are set to debut a new silhouette early next year dubbed the Fontanka Edge. Based on the official images, it looks like Beaverton are wanting to continue the tank-like vibe that ran hot throughout 2020. This year, Nike have unleashed chunky models such as the and sneaker boot – both rocking a sole that could crush a small car, and tooling that is super aggressive.
Fusing sport-ready tech with a design for the streets, the Fontanka Edge is the ideal silhouette for navigating the concrete jungle on the daily. Images have emerged of a debut rendition that boasts an almost all-black combo with subtle hits of ‘University Red’. The materials used include a mix of mesh, leather and TPU, going for that techy look that sparks memories of the ISPA collection – but noticeably more toned down. Adding the final pop of colour is three colourful Swooshes located on each heel.
The Nike Fontanka Edge will be a women’s exclusive release, and will hit select retailers around the globe beginning January 28. We’ll keep you updated on the launch closer to the day.
