Slam Jam Sharpens the PUMA Mostro

Since resurfacing in 2024, the has become one of the more unexpected success stories in fashion. Reintroduced on the runway and boosted by co-sign, the early-2000s silhouette found its footing in a landscape shaped by techy minimalism and terrace-core throwbacks. It’s appeared alongside everything from jorts and puffers to runway tailoring, proving its range and relevance across the 'sphere and beyond.
latest link-up continues that arc. Founded by Luca Benini in a garage in Ferrara, Italy, in 1989, the streetwear incubator has become a regular player in the collaboration space, with past partnerships spanning across cultural heavyweights like Nike, Levi’s, Salomon and Converse.
Constructed in leather, this Mostro features debossed panels across the vamp and quarter for added texture and depth. Minimalist colourways are paired with sharp indentations under the 'Debossed' sub-head, a wily nod to Slam Jam’s involvement. Core design elements remain intact – spiked outsole, lateral fabric straps – while branding is limited to a single triangular panel at the strap loop.
There’s no release date for the Slam Jam x PUMA Mostro just yet, but keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for all the latest updates.
