W's Up? Sean Wotherspoon x Zellerfeld's 'Double U' Collection Lands

Very few approach experimental design quite like From corduroy-clad to vegan mushroom , the designer has consistently pushed the boundaries of material, form and function – merging sustainability with standout visuals. Now, he’s taking things even further with , teaming up for two fully 3D-printed models dubbed the Double U Sneaker and Double U Mule.

The collection's two silhouettes – designed, refined, and launched at pace by Wotherspoon himself – are intended for two distinct functions: there's a sneaker built for dynamic movement, and a backless option crafted for effortless wear. Together, the collection offers versatility without sacrificing style, perfectly suited for today’s fast-moving world.

Made entirely from a single circular material, each pair is custom-fitted through a simple foot scan, and fully recyclable once its lifecycle ends. The collection also incorporates stitch lines directly into the structure, preserving the classic design elements of retro running models while embracing a completely unconventional manufacturing process.

Speaking on the colab, Wotherspoon said: 'Sean Double U is about the different sides we all have. The sneaker is for motion. The mule is for slowing down. I wanted pieces that move with every version of you. Zellerfeld gave me a level of freedom I have never had before – no factories, no waiting, no ceilings on creativity or my imagination.

'Most companies tell you what you cannot do. Zellerfeld built a stack where you design what you want, when you want. We could tweak a design in the morning and hold a prototype by the afternoon. That speed changes everything, not just for me, but for every designer who has ideas and nowhere to take them.'
