The latest LeBron signature odes to the opportunities that present themselves when playing under pressure, with elements of the shoe designed to keep up with James’s agile and powerful playing style. That means the LeBron 22 is maxed out in terms of lockdown control, with a new midfoot construction that acts as a guardrail and a low-top build to keep athletes feeling grounded. That’s not the only stability-enforcing feature – in order to keep up with LeBron himself, the outsole has been given extra attention – traction zones have been meticulously engineered to keep up with jab steps, reverse pivots, take-offs and step backs.
