CLOT Serve Up the Stan Smith Espadrille with adidas Originals

and a are back on the doubles court, this time serving up the legendary in a sun-soaked, summer-ready makeover. The latest creation in their ongoing partnership sees the classic tennis silhouette fused with a Mediterranean staple: the espadrille. The result? A sneaker that blends sporting heritage with laid-back seasonal style, reinterpreted through CLOT’s signature lens of cultural fusion.
Dubbed the CLOT Stan Smith Espadrille, this release ditches the usual rubber cupsole in favour of an espadrille-style midsole. Available in two clean colourways, the white pair stays true to the OG Stan Smith DNA with a crisp leather upper, subtle embroidery, and a deconstructed vibe. The black version, meanwhile, opts for synthetic jute-inspired materials that mimic the texture of traditional espadrilles but with a modern twist, complete with chenille heel detailing for extra flair.
The collection arrives alongside a unisex apparel range and a star-studded campaign that flips the script on country club culture. Joining Chen and Stan Smith himself are Squid Game star and global fashion force Hoyeon, British skater-artist Blondey McCoy, Formula 1 ace George Russell, and rising stylist Jashlem.
For Chen, as always, this was a deeply passionate project. ‘Integrating an espadrille sole into such a legendary sneaker was a unique challenge,’ he says, ‘but it opened up new creative possibilities that reflect the spirit of both tradition and rebellion.’ Mission accomplished.
The CLOT x adidas Stan Smith Espadrille Pack is set to drop in July 2025, with pairs landing via adidas, CLOT’s JUICE Store, and select retailers around the globe.
