Since its debut in 1969, the has been reinterpreted countless times – but its ability to take on cultural references without losing shape is what keeps it truly timeless. As is the case with tartan. Once banned after the 1746 Battle of Culloden to crush the Scottish Highlands identity, it later resurfaced as the uniform of aristocracy and eventually as punk’s symbol of defiance. Combined, that journey – from prohibition to rebellion – makes it an ideal motif for the adi's latest release.

A red plaid sockliner lines the interior, immediately grounding the theme. A similarly coloured suede dominates the upper, its richness offset by the black contrast of the Three Stripes, shell toe, eyestays, and heel. Branding stays sharp and minimal: serif 'London' beneath Trefoil logos on the heel and tongue. A hangtag stamped in gold rounds out the model's love letter, landing somewhere between fashion artefact and city crest.
