adidas’ Superstar Takeover Celebrates Music, Fashion and Skate

Having already made waves across the with their star-studded campaign, are now turning the spotlight on London. The brand’s UK edition links rapper , vocalist Olivia Dean, DJ-songwriter Shygirl, Saltburn's Barry Keoghan, star boy and fellow footballer Florian Wirtz – each of whom embody the enduring legacy in their own way.
Bringing the visuals to life, adidas are hosting THIS IS SUPERSTAR, a three-day community takeover at 180 Studios from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 August. The event celebrates the late footwear 60s icon and its impact on , and scene.
'Superstar has never just been about style – it’s about the people who make it their own,' says Chris Walsh, VP Brand at adidas. 'The [Original Icon] campaign brings together some of the biggest and most exciting names in culture because they represent the creativity and individuality that the Superstar stands for. This campaign is about celebrating our homegrown icons while inspiring the next wave of Originals to shape the future on their own terms.'
Central to the takeover are the Superstar and Firebird Tracksuit, both timeless icons that have shaped music, fashion, and street culture for decades. Visitors can engage with interactive installations and programming that bring these stories to life, immersing themselves in the creativity and communities that made them legendary. In terms of releases, both have been refreshed for the launch, with the Superstar returning in two classic colourways alongside an original-style tracksuit.
