Vintage vibes are on the up and adidas – breathing new life into the Nizza – are giving the people what they want. The 70s sneaker was a favourite among skaters – especially Mark Gonzales, who wore them on an '84 Thrasher cover – and has since informed the design of adidas Skateboarding’s new Matchcourts. Gonzales released a collaborative version of the Nizza in 2008, but now adidas are re-releasing the shoe in its OG colours.
Coming in Lo and Hi cuts, the shoes have stark white uppers accented by adidas’ beloved shade of blue. Three Stripe branding is embroidered, and the rubber sole and toe cap have been faithfully reproduced, ready to be thrashed by everyday skaters and future cover stars alike.
