That Was Speedy! PUMA to Drop Another Fast-R NITRO Elite 3
PUMA’s claws were out at the back-to-back Boston and London marathons over the last two weeks, debuting their freshest teched-out supershoe.
Dubbed the Fast-R NITRO Elite 3, The Big Cat’s new-gen runner has been lauded by athletes who’ve tested ‘em out, and has promised to shave time off your PB. Ahead of the Boston marathon, Canadian Olympian Rory Linkletter said: ‘Make no mistake, Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 is the most radical ride I’ve ever experienced, and I have the Strava receipts to prove it. It’s certainly the fastest shoe I’ve ever laced up’.
Following the first iteration which dropped in limited numbers, PUMA have announced a full tonal blue colourway that looks speedy AF. Positioned as The Big Cat’s fastest sneak yet, the Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 has hit shelves weighing only 170 grams. The midsole boasts a PWRPLATE, with an outsole decked out in tried-and-true PUMAGRIP. For the upper, PUMA have gone for ULTRAWEAVE, which was previously featured on the Fast-R NITRO Elite 2.
Impressively, the 69 runners PUMA sponsored during the Boston and London marathons saw an average time improvement of just over four minutes – so, a worthy investment for those who love to run with the Formstrip on-foot.
Following a limited debut in April, PUMA will drop this brand new blue colourway of the Fast-R NITRO Elite 3s through their channels on June 4.
