Nike Air Flight Huarache 2017
Update: More images have surfaced of Nike's latest take on the Air Huarache Flight. The basketball shoe has received a full performance-enhancing makeover that has stripped it to its structural skeleton, leaving behind a minimal rendition of the cult-classic. The Air Huarache Flight has already hit retailers in Europe, so stay tuned for more info on the wider release.
The Huarache has undergone plenty of modern rebuilds since its debut in 1991. This round sees Nike's high-cut basketball version go under the knife, emerging as something we’d hardly recognise if it weren’t for a few distinguishing features. The foundations are still visible, with neoprene hugging the rear of the foot and architectural ankle scaffolding accounted for, and the logo printed on the lace toggle reassures us of the history. A new sole unit has been fitted to the base of the shoe, reflecting the lines of the classic version, but looking more up to speed with the 21st century.
The new Nike Air Flight Huarache doesn’t have any specific release info just yet, we’ll keep you posted.
