Curren Caples Debuts First Signature With Vans
There must be something in the SoCal water supply, because Vans have been coming through with back-to-back heaters this year. From modern takes on old favourites to fresh new collections and hectic collaborations, the Cali heavyweights ain’t lackin’ in 2025. Following the HommeGirl linkup and Old Skool 26 FM remix, Vans and Curren Caples have announced the skater’s first signature sneaker.
Caples is the 29-year-old pro skate prodigy signed to the Vans team, and is also a member of Fucking Awesome’s prestigious FA World Entertainment imprint. His inaugural signature has been aptly dubbed the Curren, is fully Vulcanized in typical Vans fashion, and boasts a new custom outsole pattern. All of the usual skate tech can also be found injected into this board-ready bad boy, including reinforced DURACAP and comfy POPCUSH insoles.
‘I’ve been skating Vans my whole life and never really thought I would have a shoe with my name on it,’ Caples said in a press release. ‘It’s a pretty cool feeling! Being part of the legacy of skaters with their own shoes on Vans is truly an honour.’
Curren Caples' debut signature, the Vans Curren, launched on May 1 at select stockists in an all-black colourway. Another release with the grey, yellow and red colourways will touch down with accompanying apparel on May 15.
