adidas and atmos have teamed up once again, this time to celebrate atmos’s 25th anniversary, with a bold tribute to the Three Stripes’ football legacy. Enter the Predator Megaride ‘Blue Spirit’ – a nostalgic nod to classic Predator boots.

Dropping this month, the ‘Blue Spirit’ blends signature atmos design cues with elements pulled straight from adidas’ early 2000s playbook. Most noticeable is the fold-over tongue – a hallmark of the Predator range – embroidered with ‘atmos 25th Anniversary’ on the reverse.

The silver and black upper is lit up with vibrant blue detailing, mirroring the Tokyo retailer’s iconic brand palette. Rounding out the tribute is a Teamgeist logo hit at the heel, referencing adidas’ memorable 2006 World Cup collection.

But this isn’t just about looks. Underfoot, adidas revive their Megaride cushioning platform – a performance tech originally released in the early 2000s for lightweight comfort and impact protection.

The Predator Megaride itself is a rarely-seen silhouette, pulled from adidas’ early-2000s innovation archive. Originally developed as a hybrid between football and running models, it introduced the Megaride cushioning platform – a lightweight yet stable setup designed for comfort and agility. Though it didn’t reach the global fame of the Predator cleats, it’s long been a cult favourite among Three Stripes loyalists.

The ‘Blue Spirit’ release is part of atmos's broader 25th-anniversary celebrations, which have included a series of high-profile collaborations. Notably, atmos partnered with BAPE and adidas on a glow-in-the-dark Superstar, as well as joining forces with New Balance on the 1000 ‘Bāṅdhnū’, featuring a bandana-inspired pattern.

Priced at ¥26,400 JPY, the atmos x adidas Predator Megaride ‘Blue Spirit’ will release via atmos’s online store and select retailers.
