James Harden’s Latest adidas Vol. 9 Blends Performance and Street Cred
James Harden’s signature line with adidas has slowly become one of the most influential out, both on-court and off. The Vol. 9, his ninth iteration with the Three Stripes, continues that trajectory – blending the kind of technical innovation demanded by elite basketball players with the bold design gestures that make the line a must-cop for 'heads worldwide.
Over the years, The Beard's silhouettes have carved their own lane, offering players a shoe that’s as much about performance as it is about statement-making, from dynamic traction patterns to sculpted overlays that translate movement into form.

As for this release, moulded leather panels land across the silhouette in raised curves, producing a sense of motion while shoring up lateral stability for on-court aggression. Beneath, a white textile bootie locks the foot into a glove-like fit, paired with tonal stitching that keeps the model looking pretty clean. The traction pods, constructed in an off-white 'Warm Vanilla', balance court grip with everyday wear – a subtle nod to the Vol. 9’s double-punch versatility.
Look out for the adidas Harden Vol. 9 'Molded Leather', dropping August 26 on the adidas webstore.
In other news, J.L-A-L and HOKA have teamed up for two iterations of the MAFATE X, inspired by outdoor terrain.
